Bio

D and K. A couple with ambitions in the business world and the world beyond the U.S. Taking on a life balance that may seem impossible, we work to flourish, and travel to feel alive.

We (Katelyn and Daniel) having been traveling and working in highly technical professions for more than 3 years. We both graduated from Penn State University and are very passionate about our Alma Mater. However,  we focus mostly on traveling here, and it is a great endeavor, but we like to have some specifics when we choose locations and excursions. Let's Run through a couple of our favorite activities we want to share with you:

- Visiting (and tasting) at vineyards: Wine is a for all, and what better place to enjoy a glass than the place where it was distilled! We love visiting, tasting, and staying at all types of wineries.

- Wildlife encounters: As animal lovers, we rarely pass up an opportunity to snorkel with fish, feed monkeys, or interact with the largest land mammal on earth! The world has amazing animals, we want to meet them all!

- Adrenaline inducing activities (bungee jumping, skydiving, rock climbing etc): Here is where we lose some people (hey friends!) While some will say we "have no fears" that is no the case, butttttt we definitely like to walk on the edge (of buildings, cliffs, etc). If there is a legal, adrenaline activity at a destination, you can be we are going to give it a go.

- Hiking: Great views, good workout, whats not to like?

- Local cuisine tasting. As self-proclaimed chefs (Chicken Cacciatore anyone?) we love to not only sample local food, but talk with the cooks and grillers and bakers of the area. We may never be able to reproduce it, but we love hearing how its made!

We try to maximize our trips for all of our interests, but always need some time to relax as well (it is vacation after all!). When it comes to accommodations, we do love finding exotic and luxurious stays wherever we venture. These offer unique and beautiful showcases of the local styles and tastes, while allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves, even for a short time. We like to consider it a luxury-backpacking mindset. And because our trips are normally 2-3 weeks, we love to find the gems of the areas to which we are traveling. Hopefully, you find something you like on here, whether it's an idea, a suggestion, an inspiration, some enjoyable images, or maybe you'll even love our writing. Happy exploring! Cheers!
